This is just one of several diaries that Colette kept. As many people do, Colette wrote her innermost thoughts, hopes, dream, happiness and sadness.
 
She wrote of her relationship with Jeffrey MacDonald. He was not always kind to her and hurt her many times because of things he did and said to her.
 
Colette loved Jeffrey MacDonald and wanted to spend her life with him. He ended all her dreams for the future when he brutally murdered her and their children February 17, 1970.
