May 10, 2005: The Parole Hearing

The parole hearing was held as was scheduled. Bob Stevenson, the brother of Colette, is very happy with how it went. He stood maybe five feet from MacDonald and delivered his message well. He turned several times to point at MacDonald and tell him that he has lied throughout the years about what happened that fatal night. He spoke of how his family was destroyed by what happened and he also spoke of Freddy's theory of the fact that MacDonald had molested his oldest child and that the evidence showed it was Kimberley who had wet the bed and not Kristen as he said it was. When Bob made that statement, Kathryn quickly grabbed hold of MacDonald as to console him.
Kathryn spoke for a while. Bob was not allowed to hear what she said, but it is known that it was mentioned that MacDonald has been offered a job with the person who maintains the defensive fund. I am sure that as time goes by we will hear more on this and I can almost bet you that some legal action will take place relating to this case from the defense. The good news is the preliminary decision is MacDonald will be eligible for parole in 15 years.
Kathryn was seen wiping tears from her eyes at this point.
Again, the Stevenson family and I thank you for all your help and support. We will keep you posted on other issues of the parole hearing. This truly was a day of honor and remembrance that justice will continue to be served in their memory.
