I feel compelled to speak out about the recent Larry King Live Show (March 14, 2006) and to let people know just how one-sided the show is. Over the years King has had some very important people on his show, however I feel he does not ask pertinent questions when he has had Jeffrey MacDonald on the show. Now it seems that Kathryn MacDonald can come on the show and get her way. The public has a right to hear the facts and not just the selected ones that Mrs. MacDonald wants to present. We are talking about a brutal murder of three innocent victims here as well as the murder of an unborn child that died because its mother was murdered. MacDonald was tried in a Federal Court and found guilty of the murders. There is no conspiracy here; no one wanted him to be guilty of such a horrible crime.
I would like to ask Mr. King what the problem is and why he will not stand behind promises his staff makes to get people to come on his show.
To make my point here, I will include a message I received from Bob Stevenson:
"Of course I never got the time I was promised. In addition, a studio fire at King's location made audio to me stop. Actually, I had been well prepared on DNA but never got to go head to head with anyone.
"I was blindsided and King let Kathryn demand that the previously invited and accepted Joe McGinniss NOT be on the show. No, it was not the Larry King Show, it was the Kathryn Kurichh show masquerading as the Larry King Show and poor entertainment at that.
"I now call her Kathryn Kurichh to distinguish between the liar and the murderer. SHE NEVER MET ME? On 5/10/05, she met me face to face and I spoke to her in the hearing room during my statement calling her a strip mall drama queen. Surprised she has the same selective memory as Mac the knife."
Why and how is it possible that a guest on a show can receive such favorable treatment as to who can or cannot be on. Of course it is the Larry King Show and he can run his show as he sees fit. However, the public has a right to choose what they watch and I suspect a lot of people will now be boycotting his show.
What was the reason Joe McGinniss was dropped as a guest on the show? What are the MacDonalds afraid of?
For years MacDonald has been saying that the hair in Colette's hand was from her killer and it would prove him innocent. Well it did show who her killer was and it wasn't an intruder, it was MacDonald himself.
I think the most important thing about the DNA results is that Helena Stoeckley and Greg Mitchell have been ruled out. For so many years it seemed to be his ace in the hole to blame them.
As to unidentified hairs, let's use common sense here. Each and every one of us pick up hairs wherever we go and we bring them back into our home without even knowing it.
As to Kristen and the hair under her fingernail, we don't know what she did the last day of her life. Where did she go, who did she play with? Colette went to class that night and MacDonald mentions nothing of giving the girls a bath. Kimberley went to pre-school; she could easily have brought it home.
As to the pubic hair that was supposedly found between Colette's legs, the pubic hair was found several days later inside the outline drawing where her body was found.
MacDonald will continue to try and turn things around to benefit him. If we listen to him carefully and read all his statements, affidavits, testimony, etc., in his own way, he has told us what happened that night without even knowing it.
I ask all of you who feel as I do about the unfairness of Larry King to give equal time to both sides to write to the show and voice your opinions.
Colette, Kimberley, Kristen and the unborn son have been dead now for 36 years, murdered at the hands of the very one who was supposed to love and protect them. He has done nothing to honor their memory except to flap his jaws about the injustice done to him. He has received more humane treatment than he gave them. Seems, as always, he's more concerned with his rights than those of his family.
It is up to us who believe that the deaths of Colette, Kimberley and Kristen must not be forgotten to do what we can to make sure that never happens. I ask all of you who are able to, please contribute what you can to the scholarship fund I have set up in their memory. We can make a difference if we all stand together and fight for justice in their honor.
