Dear Mr. Coolidge

The name of one girl has come to our attention from severe sources over the past few months as having had an affair with Jeff MacDonald since High School and that she went out with him before and after he was married to Colette.

The girl's name is Carol Larsen from Medford Long Island which is situated a couple of miles from Patchogue, Jeff's home town.

Her name came up so often that we started making inquiries and found that everyone except us knew about it. One friend told us that in the fall of 1969, when she was seeing her daughter off at the railroad station, in Patchogue, they saw Jeff and Carol kissing good bye and that Carol was crying. This incident must have occurred at the end of Jeff's emergency travel leave from Puerto Rico, because his brother was seriously ill from an overdose of drugs.

Our informant told us that three days after the murder Carol Larsen left for California for an unspecified period of time.

The foregoing would normal just add one more girl to the list, except for one fact, that this particular girl fits the description given at the Article 32 by SP4 Mica and another MP saw standing on a corner 4 or 5 blocks on the night after the murders.

Carol Larsen was formally employed by Sweezy & Neutin Department Store in Patchogue, N.Y. __(words illegible)
that employment in 1969, ________(words illegible)______________ with Clairol Inc. 345 Park Ave, New York, N.Y. __(words illegible)

In our opinion inquiries should be made to see if she was at work on February 16 & 17th, 1970. The motels and hotels in Fayetteville and Cap Fear, N.C. area should be checked to see if she was registered during that period of time.

Trusting to hear from you on this subject

                                  Yours truly
                                   (Signed)

                                   A Kassab
