October 23, 1974: CID Note re: Inspection of 544 Castle Drive

Made personal insp. of MacDonald residence 544 Castle St. Ft. Bragg, N.C. Much of the furn. was gone. L.R. had sofa, chair, table, dining set, rug on floor. Res. was smaller than photos indicate. Kitchen was very small. Small sect. of flooring by hall steps & in kitchen & dining area had been cut out. House generally was more or less a shambles. Any place there had been a bloodstain on walls, ceiling had been cut out. All 3 bed were down, those areas of interest check (illegible) as followers:
NBR - (Kristen)
Bed is 26" wide and was in NW corner of room against wall. On west wall above bed and extending up 5-6' were numerous areas where apparently bloodspots had been cut out. If were blood spots (CID rept ind. were "A" group) one or more blows was del. here. Section (2) of flooring by door has been removed.
Hall - 36" wide sect. of floor by entrance to MBR had bee removed. Also sect. of wood also room
Hall bath - very small
EBR - rug on floor had large sect cut out where head and should. of body had been (illegible) between chair (green) & bed was short and would just allow body to be there. Sect of floor by ent. from (illegible) Numerous areas of walls, ceiling etc cut out (bloodstain sect. of curtain cut out.
Exam. all bedding at CID Hq.Evid. room for fabric imps. Took pillow case, top & bottom sheets, pink blanket and green bed spread from NBR for Lab exam. Also took hairs taken from Kimberly's clos. & used as by CID.
Noted sheet from bed in EBR had blood spatters all over it (illegible) top sheet & bedspread were not on bed when spatters made.
